Tomorrow, on the second day of the sitting of the fall session, the Hon. Olive Crane will bring forth the following motion:

Motion No. 60
Commitment to Islanders With Autism Spectrum Disorders

Honourable Olive Crane gives notice that tomorrow she will move, seconded by Michael Currie, the following Motion:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island encourage government to work collaboratively with the Autism Society of Prince Edward Island, and to commit to addressing the challenges facing Islanders of all ages and the families/caregivers impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Signed by: Honourable Olive Crane
Signed by: Michael Currie

7 November 2008
1:58 p.m.

I looking forward to a future when Government will begin to listen to Island families affected by Autism and move forward with meaningful actions instead of continuing to “talk” about doing something to help.

Thank you Olive.

  • Interesting to see that Governments all over the world still need to have “motions” to help their child citizens.
As an informed optimist I can tell you now that not a thing will actually change.
Your MP’s will not do a thing to help your children.
    ABA/IBI is their only hope.
If your government is not doing all it can to provide this service directly to the children it is in complete dishonour.
Stephen Harper has done nothing except help kill children in his shameful war with George Bush in Afghanistan and Iraq.
With a 90% civilian casualty rate and half of those being children how can we expect a government who murders children on a daily basis to help their own?
    I hold little hope.
    Good luck children.
