I have decided that 2010 is going to be a big year for me. Even bigger than each year that has passed. I took a long look at my priorities and where I spend my time. Advocating for autism is a very important priority to me, and it was hard for me to admit that I have to step back from my advocating efforts.
I am proud that I have been capable of advocating not only for my children, but children across the Island for the past 4 years. Very few things have changed in the past few years in regards to autism services, other than a change in Government. It is also extremely disappointing to state that we are still waiting for a promised Provincial Autism Strategy.
I will try to write and update this blog as events and issues come to light in regards to Autism on Prince Edward Island. You can also visit the Autism Society’s Website or find visit them on Facebook.
