According to the latest statistics from the CDC (Center for Disease Control), Autism affects approx. 1 in 150 children.
Local connection: There are approximately 1350 children born each year on Prince Edward Island. This would suggest that approximately 9 families each year will give birth to children who will be affected by Autism.
